The Delaware & Hudson Canal and towpath as they exist today in Summitville (so named because the Canal’s highest elevation was near this point).

This is one of more than a hundred locks that allowed canal boats to navigate changing elevations, and it can be crossed on a pedestrian bridge for a closeup view.
