Music of the Woodstock Era with the Johnny Jules Band

Sunday, July 7th, at 2pm, the Sullivan County Historical Society will present the Johnny Jules Band performing songs that have defined the Woodstock generation. The concert is part of the First Sunday live music and history series at the Sullivan County Museum. If you like Bob Dylan, the Band, the Grateful Dead, the Byrds, folk, blues and rock, then you don’t want to miss this show. The music is pure Americana, and the songs go as far back as the 30’s. Johnny Jules lives in Hurleyville, and is veteran musician who plays six string and twelve string guitars, as well as the blues harp. His haunting soulful voice will take you right back to 1969. The band consists of Dave D’Arcy on bass, and Bob Dalessandro (Bobby D) on dobro. Little Sparrow will host the concert. The program is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by Delaware Valley Arts Alliance. The Sullivan County Museum is located at 265 Main Street, Hurleyville, New York. The event is free. Donations will be gratefully accepted.
