Kathy McMichael Annual Golf Tournament

The Kathy McMichael Memorial Foundation was created in memory of our dear friend and colleague Kathy who lost her battle with cancer seven years ago. Kathy was a devoted mother, co-worker, and friend who was strong, brave and stayed positive throughout her illness. She was an inspiration to those around her. Kathy never complained or felt sorry for herself and she never gave up. Kathy’s perseverance inspired us to create a memorial fund in her honor. The purpose of the foundation is to help people in our community with catastrophic illness. We know through Kathy, the unexpected expenses that a catastrophic illness can create. Whether it is the cost of gas for constant traveling for treatments and doctor visits, co-pays for visits and medications, or to help with loss income, the need for support is great. Our foundation was created by a small group of volunteers from the school that Kathy was a teaching assistant at. This committee has been successful in creating an annual golf tournament and an annual dinner held at Sullivan County BOCES. We are constantly seeking ways to raise money and better serve the people of Sullivan County. The 9th Annual Kathy McMichael Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at the Tennanah Lake Golf Course in Roscoe. Tee time is 12:00 pm, the cost is $85 per person or $340 per foursome, which includes 18 holes with cart, free range balls, dinner, prizes, and raffles. Reservations are due by September 1, 2018.
